How to maintain bidirectional geogrid machinery for long-term use?

1. Establish a preventive maintenance plan
Regular maintenance is the basis for ensuring the long-term use of equipment. Daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance plans should be formulated according to the equipment structure and frequency of use, covering the key links of the entire production line, including extrusion, punching, stretching, cooling and winding systems.

2. Maintenance points of each core component
A. Extrusion system
Daily check whether the heating system temperature is stable and whether the feeding is smooth, clean the hopper and filter to prevent raw material impurities from clogging the system.
Check the screw and barrel for wear or scaling every week to ensure uniform plasticization; add lubricating oil or grease if necessary.
Check the tightness of the motor, coupling and transmission system every month, and clean and calibrate if necessary.
B. Die head and calender cooling device
Clean the die lip every day to prevent carbonization accumulation of materials and avoid affecting the surface quality of the sheet.
Check the surface of the calender roller for scratches, scratches or indentations every week to keep the surface smooth.
Check the gap between the rollers every month to prevent thickness inconsistency.
C. Punching device
Check the punch head for blockage or deviation every day, and remove waste materials in time.
Check the sharpness of the die every week, and check whether the die is worn or cracked.
Check the punching accuracy, punching pressure, and positioning system every month, and replace or debug the die if necessary.
D. Preheating furnace and stretching furnace
Check whether the temperature is uniform and the sensor is accurate every day.
Clean the hot air circulation system and filter every week to avoid air flow obstruction or dust accumulation affecting heating efficiency.
Check whether the heating elements, electric heating tubes, infrared lamps, etc. are aging every month, and check the integrity of the insulation layer.
E. Longitudinal and transverse stretching device
Check whether the stretching roller or chain runs smoothly and whether the guide rail is worn every day.
Check the tension system every week to ensure that the stretching ratio is consistent and avoid product size deviation.
Check the transmission shaft, chain tensioning status, guide device, etc. every month to see if they are normal, and add grease in time.
F. Cooling and shaping system
Clean the spray cooling head or cooling roller regularly to keep the water flow unobstructed.
Check whether the cooling fan and motor are running normally to prevent the cooling efficiency from decreasing and causing material deformation.
G. Winding and cutting device
Keep the knife sharp and replace or calibrate the cutting positioning system regularly.
Check the winding tension control system to prevent the coil from wrinkling or loosening due to uneven tension.

3. General maintenance measures
Lubrication management: Lubricate the gearbox, bearings, chains and other parts regularly according to the time and type specified in the equipment manual.
Alignment and correction: Use laser or digital display tools to regularly calibrate the die head, roller system, traction device, guide chain, etc. to prevent product defects due to centering errors.
Electronic control system: Back up the PLC program regularly, check whether the terminal is loose, clean the control cabinet, and keep it dry and dust-proof.
Cleaning and safety: Clean the equipment surface and ground residues every shift, and regularly check whether the safety protection devices are intact. When performing shutdown maintenance, strictly follow the power-off and lock-out identification (LOTO) system.

4. Maintenance records and monitoring system
It is recommended to establish a complete maintenance log and fault record system, including the time of replacing parts, the cause of the fault, the treatment method, etc., to facilitate tracking problems and formulating preventive measures.
Online monitoring systems such as temperature monitoring, tension detection, and energy consumption statistics can be introduced to visualize the equipment status and detect potential problems in advance.

5. Technical personnel training and cross-rotation
Regular technical training for operators and maintenance personnel, including equipment operation, basic electrical and hydraulic systems, PLC control, etc. Encourage personnel to cross-learn, avoid technical dependence on a few people, and enhance the team's ability to deal with sudden failures.

6. Spare parts management and emergency response
Common wearing parts such as heating elements, dies, tension sensors, chains, bearings, etc. should be kept in stock to ensure that they can be replaced as soon as possible in case of failure to reduce downtime. Establish a rapid response mechanism with equipment manufacturers or local agents to obtain technical support and emergency supply services.

Summary
To achieve long-term stable operation of bidirectional geogrid production equipment, we should adhere to the maintenance concept of "prevention first, standardization first, and real-time second", and comprehensively build a scientific operation and maintenance system from daily inspection, periodic maintenance to personnel training and spare parts guarantee. This will not only extend the service life of the equipment, but also ensure stable product quality and reduce failure rate and production costs.
